Networking Opportunities

The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce has four very active groups that provide individuals with opportunities to interact with other community members.

Agribusiness Network

Purpose

The AgriBusiness Network meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Chamber office. The purposes of the AgriBusiness Network include advocacy for the agribusiness sector, economic development including value-added agriculture, networking and youth development within the agribusiness sector.

Manufacturers Network

Purpose

The Manufacturers Network meets on a quarterly basis to provide a forum for the manufacturing sector to tour other local manufacturing facilities, stay informed to local business issues and provide a networking opportunity for the manufacturing sector. Network is only open to manufacturers in Douglas County.

Kansas International

Purpose

Kansas International meets for breakfast meetings bi-monthly and provides a networking forum for businesses interested in international business issues. Meetings include best practices presentations of international business practices or current international business issues and are open to the public. KI also coordinates events and meetings, as needed, for foreign dignitaries that are visiting Douglas County.
